California based HappyCo (one of the fastest growing property management software companies in the world) expanded into Australia’s technology sector in 2011. With the straightforward objective of ‘improving people’s lives’, when it came time to create their own office in Adelaide, HappyCo  engaged IA Group to design a space that reflected their values of connection, flexibility and of course, happiness.

Whilst creating a functional and versatile workspace that supported private video conferencing and focused work, HappyCo incorporated fun and colourful design elements to encourage connection, joy and intrigue within the space. To complement this objective, Zenith provided a selection of furnishings that supported the design intent.

For independent concentrated work, HappyCo chose Zenith’s Orbis workstations. Orbis is exceptionally stable and sturdy, yet uncompromising in visual appeal. The electric height adjustable feature allows for effortless individual customization. Supporting HappyCo’s goal of easy collaboration and interface, Orbis can be configured in a number of ways to facilitate individual or collaborative work modes.

Offering a soft and frameless solution, the Precinct screen complements the Orbis workstation to create a clean and defined workspace for independent focused work and tasks that require privacy.

Fulfilling the need for employee connection, HappyCo chose the Precinct Meet. The high screened option creates a ‘room within a room’ suitable for social gatherings, breakout areas or private meetings. The D-shaped centre table is designed with the aesthetic capacity to act as a café table or work top.

The epitome of style functionality, and sustainability, the JAC chair effortlessly fulfills the seating needs for a multitude of workspaces. Thoughtfully designed and robustly manufactured, Jac is an ideal choice for innumerable work modalities. JAC is also an environmentally friendly choice: For every JAC sold a tree is planted through Zenith’s sustainability initiative. Currently the One Tree project is focused on Ecological Restoration in South-West WA.

The end result is a vibrant, colourful and exciting office that incorporates playfulness and happiness  within a comfortable and highly functional workspace.
