Building the future and protecting what matters’ has been the guiding focus of Suncorp for over 100 years. This pledge is not only to their customers but extends to their people and partners. Integral to ‘building the future’ for their employees is providing smart, simple, and trusted technology for maximum efficiency and greater competitive advantage.
At Zenith, our continual curiosity and belief in innovation has been a major driving force in delivering emergent technologies integrated with furniture solutions. Understanding that workspaces require a holistic approach, our focus is the curation of furniture solutions that successfully align hardware, software, and human interconnection. Subsequently, when embarking upon the interior transformation of their Headquarters in Brisbane, Suncorp tasked Zenith with providing an integrated furniture and technology solution for the
38000 sqm site.
A key requirement for Suncorp was utilising emergent technologies that would support their current and future workspace needs. Embracing the hybrid work model for their new Headquarters, Suncorp sought to integrate the latest workplace technology to optimise spacial efficiency: Agile spaces for flexible and hybrid work, bookable meeting and training rooms, and occupancy sensing and analytics for energy efficiency.
Zenith’s solutions included the integration of the Smartalock and Zenith Connect Puck. Smartalock combines high-performance locker hardware with intelligent software into a complete package. Offering freedom and security for agile and adaptive workspaces, Smartalock allows permanent staff an assigned locker for their personal items and provides a temporary safe storage space for hybrid workers. Understanding the benefits that Smartalock would impart to their business and employee experience, Suncorp installed over 8000 in their Brisbane Headquarters.
Merging the Zenith Connect Puck with customised workstations allows for seamless planning and space utilisation. Zenith Connect Puck is a work point integrated desk reservation system that provides effortless check-in and check-out, occupancy sensing and wireless/wired device charging. Employees are able to pre-book a desk, choosing a setting suitable to their tasks. They can then check-in at the desk ‘puck ‘with a company access card, or their smartphone. Integrated power relay can also be installed to disable the desk’s power when not in use, providing accurate usage data and minimising carbon emissions by lowering energy output. As part of Suncorp’s commitment to innovative environmental outcomes throughout their business, Zenith Connect Pucks were installed in over 3500 workstations.
Suncorp understood that in a rapidly shifting work environment, innovation, adaptability and a tech-forward strategy stood to give them a greater business advantage. Zenith Connect Puck and Smartalock by Zenith provide the technologies to enable flexible working models and support people to work in ways that are most productive. By ‘building the future’ with today’s intelligent technology, Suncorp have invested in a workplace that is more efficient, streamlined and sustainable now and into the future.
