Zenith Wellington delivered a full scheme of break-out, reception, clinician, consultation, and patient furniture for the newly opened Wellington Children’s Hospital Te Wao Nui. Te Wao Nui is derived from Te Wao Nui a Tāne, the name translates as 'The Great Forest' and reflects the ecosystem of integrated health services designed for children, young people and their families. That is the significance of the natural colour palette and tree that encases the main internal staircase.

With a strong emphasis on hygiene and quality, we assisted with the selection and application of anti-microbial fabrics and surfaces for the furniture pieces supplied. Functionality and ‘ease of use’ were also at the forefront of the furniture selection process. A comforting colour palette in bold hues emphasised the important role furniture has in creating a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for tamariki, rangitahi and whānau.
