Australian tree planting thrives in 2024 with Jac One Tree Initiative
Coinciding with the completion of the wonderful Jac collection, the Jac One Tree initiative hits another milestone with 80,000 trees planted.
Since the launch of the Jac collection in 2019, for every Jac sold a tree has been planted in Australia and New Zealand through ONETREEPLANTED.ORG. Our latest expansion into the Philippines in 2023 was the fulfilment of a long-held wish to make a positive impact in the region.
With Zenith recently passing the overall total of 80,000 trees planted, we are excited to share the initial results of the Jac One Tree collaboration in the Philippines. This landmark initiative builds upon Zenith’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community development.
The project's primary objective is to undertake enrichment planting with indigenous tree species, revitalising the Magallanes Juban Forest Watershed Reserve in Sorsogon Province. These once-dense canopy areas have seen a decline in natural habitats due to swidden cultivation, extensive hunting, and human settlement. Zenith aim to assist in reversing this trend and supporting the restoration of vital ecosystems.
To date, the Zenith One Tree Programme Asia has planted 1,687 trees.
Every Jac chair purchased helps plant the seeds of change. By expanding the One Tree programme into Asia, Zenith are proudly taking a significant step towards creating a more sustainable future. Jac remains at the heart of the initiative – an embodiment of the company's commitment to environmental responsibility. We look forward to sharing further Philippines revitalisation results in the future.
