Fonterra is a dairy co-operative established in October 2001 after the majority of farmers involved voted to accept the merger of the New Zealand Dairy Board, New Zealand Dairy Group and Kiwi Co-operative Dairies. Headquartered in Auckland, Fonterra is New Zealand’s largest company, and the sixth largest dairy producer in the world.

Chow:Hill were recently engaged to design new offices for Fonterra in the CBD precinct of Hamilton. With the objective of reflecting the Sustainable values and culture of Fonterra, Zenith were engaged to supply a suite of seating solutions that reflected the Fonterra spirit of connection and care for the land.

Combining elegance, functionality, and sustainability, the Jac range effortlessly fulfills the seating needs for a multitude of workspaces. Thoughtfully designed and robustly manufactured, Fonterra chose a selection of Jac chairs for their visual appeal and versatility within mixed-use spaces. The Jac sled chair in both side chair and tub version provides a contemporary seating solution for meeting, collaboration and breakout areas.

Fonterra also opted for the latest iteration of the Jac collection: The Jac Lounge Chair. Designed to add an aura of subtle sophistication whilst retaining JAC’s trademark comfort and body contouring support, the Jac Lounge chair offers a softer aesthetic and more immersive experience.

Jac is also the ideal choice to minimise environmental impact: For every Jac sold a tree is planted through Zenith’s sustainability initiative. Currently the One Tree project in New Zealand is focused on restoring native biodiversity in Pamoa Forest.
