Case Study: Melbourne Administrative Office
Case Study: Melbourne Administrative Office

Zenith Melbourne recently collaborated with Gray Puksand on a project for a Melbourne Administrative Office near the stunning Fitzroy Gardens. With the client prioritising continuous learning, viewing it as a fundamental commitment to excellence and professional growth, the project focuses on fostering meaningful connections through an inclusive, human-centred design approach.

Bringing together staff from five distinct locations, the new central hub features expansive, light-filled floorplates, structured into four quadrants across seven floors. This strategic layout ensures a balance of formal, informal, and touchdown spaces, cultivating a sense of community at an intimate scale. With a high Green Star rating as a key ambition of the project, Zenith curated a comprehensive suite of furnishings to support the collaborative and sustainability objectives of the client.

Precinct Meet and Precinct Focus

Creating unique enclaves within the workplace, Zenith’s Precinct collection is a series of individual elements that when combined, create a vast variety of workspaces tailored to singular or collective needs. For meetings or social connection, Precinct Meet Booth provides a room within the room. With high screen encasings, the Meet Booth caters to the full spectrum of work modalities, providing a ‘precinct’ for focused work or team activity.

Precinct Focus was also chosen by the client as it offers  a private seating haven. Its high screens hug the lounge and create a private nook for quiet conversations, calls or individualised work.

SOL-Sit Lounge, Precinct Meet Booth

Enhancing meaningful connection, the design includes inviting lounge spaces, encouraging employees to come together, collaborate, or momentarily retreat to relax and recharge. Offering a residential style lounge solution, the client opted for Zenith Levee; a sumptuous and pillowy modular lounge system that brings a comforting homelike feel to commercial spaces.

SOL-Sit, now updated to the SOL-EDT, is designed for contemporary working environments. The SOL modular lounge facilitates seating spaces for informal meetings, socialising, creative collaborations and moments of quiet retreat and focus. The lounge modules are available in a range of sizes as well as concave and convex, allowing the user to create a lounging experience suited to their requirements and design aesthetic.

Vox Task Chair

Understanding that their people spend a great deal of time at their desks, the client selected Zenith’s Vox chair. A good ergonomic task chair not only provides comfort but can also improve productivity and reduce the potential for workplace injury. The Vox task chair offers the user postural comfort and versatility, with lumbar support and an auto weight adjust recline mechanism.

Zenith’s curated solutions seamlessly supported the project's core objectives—fostering collaboration, enhancing employee well-being, and upholding sustainability standards. By providing versatile work zones, ergonomic seating, and inviting communal spaces, Zenith enabled a dynamic environment where individuals can connect, focus, and thrive.
