Southern Cross University Lismore is set in north-eastern NSW within 75 hectares of lush, sub-tropical grounds, landscaped gardens and rainforest walkways. When Designers DWP were engaged for works on the A Block of the campus, they took inspiration from the stunning setting and brought the lush inspiration of the surrounds into the design. With an abundance of plants and plant design motifs, the biophilic design creates a calm connection with the outside environment. Zenith provided a range of complementary furnishings to support study and connection in this tranquil setting.

For study or socialising, Precinct Meet Booth provides a room within the room. With high screen encasings, the Meet Booth caters to the full spectrum of study modalities, providing an enclave for focused study or private teamwork. Complimenting the subtle hues of the interior design, Zenith also provided a selection of Precinct ottomans in various sizes and shapes. Light and mobile, the Precinct ottomans are an ideal option for quick catchups or a comfortable perch for reading or relaxing.

For independent focused-work areas, SCU Lismore chose Orbis. Zenith’s Orbis electric workstations are customisable to individual height requirements, helping combat muscle inactivity and increase circulation. Orbis is exceptionally stable and sturdy, yet uncompromising in visual appeal. Supporting easy collaboration, Orbis can be configured in a number of ways to facilitate individual or collaborative work modes.

Platforma is a modular soft seating collection that introduces the welcoming aesthetic and comfort of residential furniture to a commercial setting. Drawing its name from the solid oak base from which it sits, Platforma showcases clean architectural lines juxtaposed with relaxed upholstery. SCU Lismore opted for Platforma in subtle muted green to complement the biophilic aesthetic.

In bringing the essence of Southern Cross University Lismore's serene surroundings into the heart of the A Block, Zenith's furnishings seamlessly fused functional necessity with design intent, creating an environment conducive to both study and collaboration within SCU Lismore's lush campus landscape.
