Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation formed from the merger of Hanover Welfare Services and HomeGround Services in July 2015. Building on the legacy of its predecessor organisations, Launch Housing provides housing and support, advocacy, research and innovation, and drives social policy change to end homelessness.

When they recently created a new hub in Collingwood, Launch Housing in partnership with Gray Puksand engaged Zenith interiors to provide a suite of inspiring furnishings that would align with their client’s values, and support independent and collaborative work in an agile workspace. In furnishing their new premises, Zenith worked closely with Launch Housing to create a solution that catered to their budgetary limitations as a non-profit organization, without compromising on quality. Though the office is open plan and interactive, Launch housing required areas for private conversations and focus. The incorporation of warm, vibrant colour (representative of the Victorian landscape)  was also integral to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Thoughtfully designed and robustly manufactured, the JAC seating range is the perfect juncture of elegance, functionality, and sustainability. Suitable for innumerable spaces, Launch Housing chose the JAC sled chair and stools for break out and meeting spaces within their office. JAC is also the ideal choice to minimise environmental impact: For every JAC sold a tree is planted through Zenith’s sustainability initiative. Currently the One Tree project is focused on Ecological Restoration in South-West WA, at Boorokup and Tambellup Noongar Farm, providing education and empowerment for the local indigenous community through on-going employment.

Supporting independent focus and privacy, Launch housing chose the Verse acoustic pod by Zenith as a noise minimising booth for their Collingwood site. Verse office pods are designed with employee wellness in mind, providing a serene environment that reduces stress and promotes mental clarity. With ISO acoustic compliance, tech compatibility, and high sustainability (acoustic interior panels can be up to 60% recycled material and 100% recyclable at end of life) Verse was the ideal acoustic pod for Launch Housing.

Edo lounge by Schamburg + Alvisse for Zenith creates an alcove for independent concentration or quiet meetings. The high back and sides offer the user a quiet retreat for calls, private meetings, or focus. Launch Housing chose Edo in a soft grey to complement the colourful walls and flooring of the interior.

For a versatile, multi-functional table, Launch Housing opted for the inimitable Kissen. With a charming distinctive leg profile, Zenith’s Kissen has proven a popular choice for the collaborative office. Designed with the physical and functional requirements of today’s varied office work modes in mind, the Zenith design team created the Kissen table to foster connection. Whether collaborative group work or social connection, this is a table created for interactivity.
